Our May 29 meeting featured an engaging Q&A panel with three seasoned local fishkeepers: Victor Elderton, Jennifer Reynolds, and Michael Sloan. Each panelist shared their personal journey in the aquarium hobby, offering insights gained through years of experience keeping and breeding a wide variety of aquatic life.
Members enjoyed a lively discussion covering a broad range of topics, including aquarium setup and maintenance, breeding projects, water quality management, plant care, fish selection, and lessons learned from both successes and challenges along the way. The informal format encouraged audience participation, resulting in many thoughtful questions and practical advice that hobbyists of all experience levels could take home and apply to their own aquariums.
The evening also marked an exciting milestone for the club as we officially launched membership sales. As a newly formed organization, we were thrilled to welcome our first members and begin building a community dedicated to sharing knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm for the aquarium hobby. We look forward to continued growth in the months ahead.
A big thank you to Victor, Jennifer, and Michael for sharing their knowledge and helping make the evening both educational and enjoyable.
Special thanks to April's Aquarium for providing door prizes. Winners took home a variety of fish themed merchandise.
